TERMS & AGREEMENT

 

COVID-19 Liability Waiver: By submitting a RPE membership form, you attest that you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor(s) named in the registration. You acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you or your child(ren) may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending any RPE sponsored event and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. You understand the risk that you or your child(ren) becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at RPE sponsored events may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself or others, including, but not limited to, RPE volunteers, program participants and their families.

 

You voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to yourself and your child(ren) (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you or your child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with you or your child(ren)’s attendance at RPE sponsored events (collectively “Claims”). You also understand that if the RPE is not able to host in-person events in order to comply with state and local guidelines, the RPE Board committee will make every effort to facilitate virtual events and support the community by providing giveaways in lieu of a membership refund. On behalf of yourself and your child(ren), you hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the RPE and its volunteers, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. You understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the RPE and its volunteers, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any RPE sponsored program.

Disclaimer of Liability:  By submitting a RPE membership form, you are acknowledging that you and your family members' attendance and participation in any activities organized by the Rowayton Parents Exchange (RPE), including attendance of activities or events at the home of another RPE member, is your sole risk and responsibility.  The RPE, which collectively includes the organization, its board members, volunteers, members and representatives, is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever sustained by any person or their property while participating in events or activities associated with the RPE.

 

Permission to Use Photographs:  By submitting a RPE membership form, you are also granting the RPE the right to take photographs of you and your family, including your children, during events associated with the RPE and to use those photographs for purposes of communicating about or publicizing the RPE and/or activities and events associated with the RPE, including through newspaper articles, brochures, newsletters, social media outlets, and other literature regarding the organization.
